The OBIQUA SLIDE-ON/OFF CAMPER is manufactured from GRP material (fibreglass) with a self-extinguishing structural foam core. The camper is produced in a facility that specialises in composite materials having produced products for the SADF, Space Station and Antarctica to mention a few. 

The OBIQUA CAMPER fits onto all the popular bakkies available in South Africa. Models are produced for double cabs, X-tra cabs and single cab bakkies.  Standard factory fitted tie-down points are used. Additionally, there is no need to modify your vehicle’s suspension, as the Obiqua Camper is extremely light. A unique feature of the camper is that it has a set of “legs” allowing it to be used independently from the vehicle. This allows the vehicle to be used for game drives or sightseeing without having to pack everything up and losing your favourite campsite while you are away.

When the OBIQUA CAMPER is on the bakkie it fits into a standard single garage. The unit does NOT extend over the roof of the vehicle leaving this space open for roof racks if needed. The camper has a low centre of gravity and due to it being a low profile unit, it hardly affects fuel consumption especially compared to towing an off road trailer or caravan. The heavy items eg the 55l water tank with pump, 2 x jerry cans and the batteries are all ahead of the rear axle when on a double cab bakkie.
